Yesterday, the Archduke of Austria-Hungary, Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. He was shot, along with his wife by Gavrilo Princip in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo. Princip wasn't alone, he was accompanied by Nedjelko Cabrinovic and Trifko Grabez. The Archduke was on his way to the hospital to visit the people injured in the first assassination attempt. The car stalled and Princip took his shot and killed both Ferdinand and his wife. This assassination occurred because nationalists wanted to break off Austria-Hungary's south-Slav provinces so they could be combined into a Greater Serbia. The outcome of this assassination will not be good for those assassins. They will most likely be put on trial and if found guilty, they will be executed. It has been a sad day for Austia-Hungary and hopefully things can get better soon.
